At Transorbital, we’re changing the way things move in space.
We’ve built the world’s first reactionless drive—a brand-new kind of engine that makes thrust without using any fuel or gas. This breakthrough lets spacecraft move more freely, use less energy, and go farther than ever before. Our goal is to make space travel easier, smarter, and better for everyone.
Our journey started with a big idea: to push the limits of science and engineering and open up new ways to explore space and save energy. Through constant innovation and careful testing, we turned something that used to be just an idea into a real, working technology.
Our reactionless drive could replace old electric space engines like Hall Effect Thrusters. It works better, uses less energy, and doesn’t need any fuel or gas to run. Because of this, spacecraft can move freely in space without running out of anything. This new technology will completely transform the space industry!
Our new MVP reactionless drive is small, light, and powerful. It produces up to 15 grams worth of thrust (about 147 millinewtons) while using only 34 watts of power. It weighs just 1.3 kilograms, making it easy to fit into small and medium-sized satellites. These numbers match our working prototype, and now we’re bringing that same performance into a ready-to-use product.
Most electric thrusters for satellites only make between 5 and 100 millinewtons of thrust—and they often need a lot of power to do that. Our MVP can give up to 147 millinewtons, and it uses much less power. This means satellites can move faster, adjust their paths more easily, and do more in space—without needing a bigger power system.
Many electric thrusters use hundreds of watts just to make a small amount of thrust. They also lose a lot of energy while running. Our drive gets more done with less power—only 34 watts. That saves energy for other systems on the satellite, which is a big deal for smaller missions where every watt counts.
Our reactionless drive doesn’t use fuel or gas like other space engines do. That means no need for heavy tanks or complicated fuel systems. With nothing to refill or run out, satellites can move freely for longer missions and change orbits whenever they need to. It’s a big step toward easier, more flexible space travel.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and fund our mission.
Our most powerful small scale prototype, tested on October __ 2024 sustainably produced between 11-15g of net force using no more than 34 watts.
